Esports organisation GIANTX has secured a spot in the Women's Valorant World Championship. The team, competing in VCT Game Changers—the international female circuit of Riot Games’ popular shooter—has qualified for the most prestigious event in the game after accumulating the necessary points over three outstanding seasons. After securing two third-place finishes in EMEA, the region encompassing Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, GIANTX's women's team has made it to the finals of the third split, earning them a ticket to the Game Changers Championship, the Women's Valorant World Championship.

This achievement marks the most significant international milestone for GIANTX in 2024. The players Yağmur Gündüz ‘Smurfette,’ Neslişah Demir ‘Ness,’ Tina Agéli ‘Joliinaa,’ Eylül Sudem Sarıoğlu ‘Miyori,’ and Sara Ahmed ‘Sarah,’ led by Spanish coach Antonio Lozano ‘Aska,’ have etched their names in the organization’s history. They will represent GIANTX at the event, which will take place in Berlin from November 8 to 17. In the German capital, the top ten women’s Valorant teams from around the world will convene, and one of those teams is GIANTX. The players have exceeded expectations and will even compete for the title in the third split, the final stop before the World Championship. Their opponent will be G2 Gozen, a dominant force in the competition.

GIANTX's summer season in Game Changers has been one of steady improvement. After suffering two losses in the group stage and another in the first playoff match against NASR Ignite, GIANTX secured their place in the Game Changers Championship with a remarkable comeback, achieving victories over Odd 1 Out, Heroic, and Falcons, who had previously been their toughest adversary. In the decisive match against NASR Ignite, Smurfette, Ness, Joliinaa, Miyori, and Sarah led their team to victory, eliminating the Arab team. Now, they face G2 Gozen in the third split final, scheduled for Sunday, October 6th, at 16:30.

Riot Games launched the Game Changers circuit in 2021 with the goal of “creating new opportunities and enhancing exposure for women and other underrepresented genders” in esports. This program has gained considerable prestige and professionalism, and today it features the most notable organizations and players in international Valorant. GIANTX already had experience in Game Changers, having participated in previous editions, and will now compete in the World Championship.

In addition to their participation in Game Changers, GIANTX also competes in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), which alongside the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) and the aforementioned Game Changers circuit, are among the top esports competitions worldwide. GIANTX also has representation in the Superliga LVP, the premier professional gaming league in Spain.
