Aetinoth, Feisty, Lospa, Time, and Slayer crowned champions after defeating Barça 3-1 in the final and dominating the tournament
Official competitions will return in 2025
London -Malaga. Sunday, November 17, 2024. GIANTX ends 2024 with another trophy. The national League of Legends team has won the Iberian Cup after overcoming all opponents and defeating Barça 3-1 in Saturday’s final.
With this victory, GIANTX secures its third Iberian Cup, becoming the organization with the most titles in this competition. The Iberian Cup wraps up the national competitive calendar and also marks the end of GIANTX’s season. Official competitions will return in 2025.
The roster of Aetinoth, Feisty, Lospa, Time, and Slayer dominated the tournament from start to finish. Out of 14 maps played, they lost only one, to Barça in the final. The team showcased an aggressive playstyle that their rivals couldn’t counter.
This title adds to the one won in October at the Valorant Spotlight Series, where a mixed GIANTX team claimed victory in the inaugural edition of Riot Games’ international tournament. The Iberian Cup, which GIANTX hadn’t won since 2021, is the second major achievement this month. Two titles in less than 30 days set the stage for an exciting 2025 for the organization.
GIANTX’s Competitive Year in 2024
In League of Legends, GIANTX competes with both an international and a national team. The international team reached the playoffs in all three LEC splits but fell short of qualifying for the Worlds. The national team, prior to winning the Iberian Cup, made it to the Superliga spring semifinals and reached the playoffs in the summer.
In Valorant, the men’s team did not qualify for the playoffs in either split of the Valorant Champions Tour. However, the women’s team excelled in the international Game Changers circuit, securing two third-place finishes and a runner-up spot in EMEA, which earned them a spot at the Game Changers Championship. At the global event, they finished in the top 7-8.
