GIANTX Itero Kicks Off the Renewed Spanish League of Legends League with Ambition and a Legendary Roster

GIANTX Itero arranca con ilusión y un equipo de leyendas la renovada Liga Española de League of Legends

Málaga / Madrid. Thursday, February 12, 2026. A new chapter in Spanish esports begins this Friday with the launch of the renewed Spanish League of Legends League (LES). This competition continues the legacy of the former Superliga and is managed by Lastlap and Cabal Esports. GIANTX, the historical leader of Spanish LoL with nine titles, headlines this inaugural tournament held live in Madrid.

The team, officially named GIANTX Itero, brings together a roster of legends and fan-favorite figures. Barça Esports will be the first opponent this Friday at 2:00 PM.

A Roster of Legends with New Challenges

The squad introduces historic role swaps. Th3Antonio, a top lane legend, will take over the jungle upon his return to the server, while Attila shifts his usual role to support. The quintet is completed by Flakked as ADC, Miniduke in the mid lane, and ManoloGap in the top lane, all under the technical direction of F1RE.

"This is a very special project, and we want to thrill the fans," says Th3Antonio. The team aims to solidify its dominance in the national scene and secure one of the spots for the EMEA Masters, which brings together the best regional teams in Europe.

From GIANTX Pride to GIANTX Itero: A Commitment to Technology

The rebranding from GIANTX Pride to GIANTX Itero reflects the integration of technology into the club's sporting structure. Itero is the AI-driven training startup powered by GIANTX, specialized in advanced data analysis for performance enhancement. The sports management team has been applying these AI tools for over a year to optimize decision-making and player growth.

Understanding the New LES (Spanish League of Legends League)

Starting in 2026, the LES becomes the premier official League of Legends competition in Spain within the Riot Games system. As part of the ERLs (European Regional Leagues), the LES serves as a breeding ground for continental talent. The top-ranked teams earn direct access to the EMEA Masters, providing an international platform for national players.
