The Indie Games Malaga Awards, which are celebrating their sixth edition this year, will announce the finalists of their competition tomorrow, October 11.
These awards have returned stronger than ever: last September, the registration period closed with a total of 238 video games submitted. This represents a 73% increase compared to the previous edition. Organized by the National Digital Content Hub of Malaga, with the institutional collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and the support of the Digital Agency of Andalusia, the event where the finalists will be announced will open with the professional conference 'Impact and Social Transformation through Video Games,' in which industry experts will participate to discuss challenges and opportunities for promoting inclusion and diversity within the industry.
The Indie Games Awards are an initiative of the Malaga City Council, the Malaga National Digital Content Hub, and FYCMA.
