Málaga / Berlin / London. Monday, August 25, 2025. The esports organization GIANTX is in celebration mode. The squad competing nationally in League of Legends has been proclaimed Summer Champion of the Superliga, organized by the Professional Videogame League (LVP-Mediapro). This marks the eighth title won in Spain's most important competition, historically dominated by the Málaga-based club.
The GIANTX Superliga quintet swept Heretics with a clear 3-0 in the summer campaign final, consolidating their status as the best team in the national scene. However, one final challenge remains: to be crowned the absolute king of Spanish LoL in 2025 with a victory at the 'Final Four' held in Madrid next weekend.
League of Legends - Superliga: 'The Eighth' is Now a Reality
GIANTX Pride has broken its dry spell and can finally celebrate the Superliga title. 'The Eighth' arrived after dominating the regular season and dismantling eternal rivals Heretics in the final. GIANTX had not won the domestic championship since 2021, a drought that ends with this eighth trophy, confirming the Málaga organization as the most successful in Spanish esports history.
The roster composed of Badlulu, Ferret, Feisty, Aetinoth, and Lospa has only lost two maps since the start of the split. Reaching the 'Final Four' also confirms GIANTX's participation in the EMEA Masters, which gathers the top teams from European regional leagues.
Save the date: The 'Final Four' will take place at the Madrid Arena next weekend (August 30-31). Participants include the champions of Winter (Heretics), Spring (Barcelona), and Summer (GIANTX). The Giants will face Barcelona in the semifinals.
Valorant - VCT: Masterful Victory Over Fnatic
GIANTX's team in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) continues to thrill its fans. After a heartbreaking loss to Team Liquid, Pipson’s men were forced to win with no margin for error. GIANTX defeated the mighty Fnatic 2-0 this Sunday—the reigning EMEA champions—in a masterfully executed series.
With Flickless in hero mode during the first map (clocking 26 kills), the Giants confirmed their peak collective form. GIANTX is now Top 4 in EMEA and will face NaVi again in the lower bracket semifinal (Friday 29th, 20:00). Securing a ticket to the World Championship (VCT Champions) remains within reach.
League of Legends - LEC: Heading into the Playoffs
While the national team celebrates, the 'big brothers' are warming up in Berlin. GIANTX’s LEC squad has already mathematically secured a spot in the playoffs. André Guilhoto’s team must close out the group stage this coming Tuesday, the 26th (19:00), against NaVi.
The ultimate goal remains Worlds, the League of Legends World Championship, where GIANTX aims to represent Europe and compete against the global elite of Riot Games' flagship title.
